Vermillion - MIZU (EP)
MIZU is composed of three sound-musical tracks that are inspired by the element Sui or Mizu, which represents water in Japanese. This element symbolizes fluidity and formlessness, and can be associated with various things, such as rivers and lakes, plants, bodily fluids, and mental and emotional tendencies to adapt and change.
The EP explores themes such as emotion, defensiveness, inner peace, patience, adaptability, flexibility, elasticity and magnetism. The work is influenced by Miyamoto Musashi's book of the Five Rings, a classic of Japanese literature on strategy and tactics in war and everyday life.
Through its music, the EP seeks to capture the essence of the Sui element and its symbolism, taking the listener on a journey of introspection and self-knowledge through fluidity and constant change. Each musical track is designed to reflect different aspects of water, such as its ability to adapt to different situations and its ability to be both gentle and powerful. Overall, the EP is a deep and poetic exploration of the Sui element and its significance in Japanese culture.
