«If we were to reflect on the infinite ways that one can adopt to bring about how disjointed music can be in our world, we would need to go to Tokyo, Japan, in order to really understand the dichotomy of good taste and pastiche in such a subtle and animal way. For this and other reasons, we have decided to bring to light Untitled, a work by Tristan Junæ, a friend and a great artist from Tokyo, based in NYC, in collaboration with Michael Larocca on drums, in cassette format. It's one track in a single take that recalls the aesthetics of protopunk and the musical avant-gardes of the 60's in the New York scene. However, here the microscopic glass is focused on iridescent guitars that billow over freeform rhythms. Even though noise music conceptually existed many decades before, it is true that it started to reach wider ubiquity with the release of Lou Reed’s Metal Machine Music in 1975. Untitled is reminiscent of that astounding link in the history of music. That's why we produce and edit this piece on tape, to conjure an aesthetic of the noise full of deafening beauty. Because if beauty doesn't deafen us, we could suspect that it is only a masterful fondness for cosmetics»
«Si nos pusiéramos a reflexionar sobre las infinitas formas que unx puede adoptar para derrocar lo condescendiente que puede llegar a ser la música en nuestro mundo, tendríamos que si o si irnos a Tokyo, Japón, para poder realmente entender como unx puede echar por tierra el supuesto buen gusto de una forma tan sutil como bestial. Por esta y otras razones hemos decidido sacar a luz Untitled, este trabajo de Tristan Junae, amigo y gran artista originario de Tokyo, trabajando en colaboración junto a Michael Larocca en batería, en formato cassette. Un track, una sola toma que rememora la estética del protopunk y las vanguardias musicales de los 60´s, la escena neoyorquina y las interminables improvisaciones con guitarras iridiscentes. Si bien el noise existía conceptualmente muchas décadas antes, es cierto que se inaugura como género a finales de los años setenta a raíz del lanzamiento de Metal Machine Music, de Lou reed. A raíz de este, no casualmente el músico japonés Merzbow tomó el álbum como punto de partida para abstraer de allí una estética del ruido, tomando el sonido disonante de retroalimentación de la guitarra. Untitled tiene reminiscencias de este asombroso vinculo en la historia de la música. Por eso es que producimos y editamos esta obra en cinta, para conjurar una estética del ruido llena de belleza ensordecedora. Es que si la belleza no nos ensordece, podríamos sospechar que es solo una magistral afición por el cosmético»
